How each marketplace charges

eBay: 13.6% final value fee (or 13.25% with Basic Store subscription) + $0.40 per order ($0.30 for orders $10.00 and under). Promoted listing ad fee applies if enabled.

Poshmark: Flat $2.95 fee on all sales under $15; flat 20% commission on sales $15 and over. Shipping is paid directly by the buyer.

Mercari: Flat 10% selling fee. Payment processing is fully absorbed into the 10% (no separate 2.9% + $0.50 seller fee).

Depop: 0% marketplace commission for US sellers, with a 3.3% + $0.45 payment processing fee.

Vinted: 0% seller fees. You keep 100% of your listing price. Vinted charges the buyer a Buyer Protection fee (5% + $0.70) at checkout.

Why is my eBay payout lower than this?

Promoted listing fees, international fees, and shipping labels bought through eBay all come out of the same payout. The calculator estimates them; Pivotal Reseller pulls the actual amounts from your eBay finance records.

Which marketplace is cheapest?

It depends on the price. Flat-percentage fees hurt more on expensive items, and fixed per-order fees hurt more on cheap ones. Try your typical sale price.

Does this include taxes?

No. Marketplaces collect sales tax from buyers in most US states, and it doesn't come out of your share. Income tax on your profit is separate.
